From Military Leadership to Community Leadership with Jarrod Wilson-Ep 23

On today’s episode, we are joined by Jarrod Wilson.  Crew Chief with the responsibility of performing inspections on, and maintaining, one of the force’s large transport aircraft, the C-17A. Upon discharge, and during a three-year stint as a welder and fabricator, he entered real estate school, but did not feel it gave him the opportunities he was looking for in the work force. He then decided to go to college and started work at the Indiana Department of Transportation. In this position he planned, directed, and administered real estate and utility/railroad operations. With this experience and continued focus on education, it landed Jarrod a new position with American Electric Power. Today, Jarrod manages the Distribution Dispatch Center for all Indiana Michigan Power customers and field operations. With Jarrod’s work history and passion around leadership, he continues to share his story to leaders and college students within Fort Wayne and the surrounding area.

Some of what we discuss in today’s episode include:

-How you can get involved in your community

-And much more
