Make Your Passion a Reality

Technology has come a long way with the inventions of the Internet, the smart phone and social media.  With all of these advancements, it has become easier and easier to make your passion a reality.  That means, whatever hobbies you have that you’re passionate about, you can create a business with them.  If you put in the work, you can utilize a social media platform and transform that into a product store or give away knowledge or value.

If you love arts and crafts, you can open up your own Etsy store and sell your crochet, cross-stitch, embroidery, etc. products.  Then open up an Instagram account and start showing off all of the work you’ve done.  Show the behind-the-scenes, show what type of stitches that you do and get more people interested in your hobby.  Then people will see what else you do and will go to your Etsy store because it’s linked with your Instagram!

I started collecting Pop Funkos back in 2019 and I didn’t know how many collectors were popular through Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.  I now follow some of these people because I enjoy watching what they’re doing with their hobby and I can share in a similar journey.  That could be you!

What needs to happen, is you need to realize the potential that you have with your passion. The world is your oyster and you can do whatever you want to do. Did you know there’s someone who paints celebrities on peanuts? Look it up, Steve Casino, aka Painter of Nuts. How nuts is that?

Success

Success is subjective.  Everyone achieves success in different ways, which is why I define success as happiness. How happy would you be if you can take that passion of yours and take it to the next level? You can get other people interested in your hobby and you could be teaching them how to find the best canvas for a painting. Maybe you’re a very talented writer, but you don’t want to write your own book. You could go onto Fiverr and help other people write better or write for them. People need ghost bloggers and writers or help creating a thesis and maybe that’s your passion.

In this day and age, the simplest way people feel happy is by being impactful. Helping someone in need or teaching them something they were in search for. Right now, everyone wants to make someone else’s life better and this is your chance to do that.

Actions to take with your passion

So, think about what hobbies you have or what you’re passionate about. How can you turn that into something bigger?

Once you have determined what that passion is, establish your primary social media platform and focus 90% of your energy on that.  Establish your secondary platform and focus 10% of your energy there.  Create a community to share the passion with.

Making your passion into something greater is really that simple. Giving your energy to it, might just be the best decision you’ve ever made. The goal is to find a job that makes you feel like you’ve never worked a day in your life. You can make that happen with your life decisions.
